Fotografia Europea 2019 Explores 'Legami' with Japanese Focus
From April 12 to June 9, 2019, Reggio Emilia, Italy, will host the 14th edition of Fotografia Europea, themed 'Legami: Intimità, relazioni, nuovi mondi' (Bonds: Intimacy, Relations, New Worlds). Under the direction of Walter Guadagnini, Japan is honored as the guest nation. Palazzo Magnani will display 120 pieces by Horst P. Horst, featuring portraits of notable figures like Jean Cocteau and Salvador Dalí. Additionally, Palazzo Da Mosto will showcase Larry Fink's 'Unbridled Curiosity' alongside Michele Nastasi's 'Arabian Transfer.' Vincenzo Castella’s 'Urban Screens' will be exhibited at the Sinagoga. The Chiostri di San Pietro will highlight works from both Japanese and European artists, while Francesco Jodice’s film 'Rivoluzioni' envisions a final message from a Chinese probe. At Chiostri di San Domenico, seven winners of the Giovane Fotografia Italiana call will present 'Ropes/Corde.'
