Forum Cultura 2024 returns to Milan MUDEC for three-day cultural summit

The Forum Cultura returns to Milan's MUDEC – Museo delle Culture for a three-day program of meetings, debates, and workshops from September 2024. Unlike previous editions, this year has no specific theme. Morning sessions (24 closed-door meetings) involve directors of Bookcity, ADI, Museo della Scienza, Triennale, Meet, and Touring Club discussing technical and strategic topics. Afternoon talks are open to the public and streamed, focusing on culture's contribution to well-being and social cohesion, institutional policies, public-private dialogue, accessibility in museums and libraries, emerging technologies and AI, and community networks. The forum coincides with Milan's cultural infrastructure investments totaling €300 million: the Museo del Novecento expansion (first section opening October 2024, full completion in a few years), the Beic library (opening 2026), and renovations of Palazzina Liberty, Teatro Ringhiera, Cinema Orchidea, and libraries in Calvairate, Sant'Ambrogio, Lorenteggio, and Case Nuove. Culture Councillor Tommaso Sacchi emphasized the event's role in shaping a shared vision for culture in Milan's social and urban fabric.
