Fortnight Institute Celebrates First Anniversary in East Village
Fortnight Institute, a gallery-non-gallery in New York's East Village, marks its first anniversary with 12 exhibitions and a strong editorial program. Founded by Fabiola Alondra and Jane Harmon, who met studying art history in London and later worked for artist Richard Prince at Fulton Ryder, the space opens only a couple of evenings per week but draws large crowds. Its mission is to bring people together. Recent shows include Aïda Ruilova's glass pipes shaped into words like desire, fuck, creep, war, love, and Lisha Bai's Here Now, running from October 5 to November 5, 2017. The founders previously worked with Lisa Spellman at 303 Gallery. The venue is located at 60 East 4th St.
