Forof: New Rome Space Blends Archaeology with Contemporary Art
Forof, a fresh cultural venue situated opposite Trajan's Column in Rome, debuts with an engaging sound installation by SOUNDWALK Collective, championed by Giovanna Caruso Fendi and reimagined by studio IT'S. The opening piece, titled LOVOTIC, includes contributions from Charlotte Gainsbourg, Lyra Pramuk, AtomTM, Paul B. Preciado, and Willem Dafoe, under the curation of Threes Productions. Preciado's narrative envisions the year 2300, intertwining human and digital sounds. The space welcomes visitors starting February 2, 2022, operating Wednesday through Sunday with guided tours. Events kick off on February 22 featuring Paul B. Preciado, followed by additional activities until July. A new exhibition will launch every five months, alongside monthly performances and a site-specific project in September.
