Fornasetti's 'Practical Madness' Lands in Seoul

exhibition · 2026-05-05

The exhibition 'Fornasetti Pratical Madness' has opened at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul, South Korea, featuring over 1,300 pieces from the Milanese archive curated by Barnaba Fornasetti. The show traces Piero Fornasetti's career from his early work as a painter and book engraver to his long collaboration with Gio Ponti from the 1940s through the 1970s and 1980s, culminating in contemporary works by Barnaba. Organized by the Triennale Design Museum of Milan, the exhibition is an evolution of 'Piero Fornasetti. Cento anni di Follia Pratica,' which was held at the Triennale in 2013 for the centenary of Fornasetti's birth and later traveled to the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 2015. The Seoul iteration runs until March 19, 2017.
