Former X Factor contestant Gabrielle Carrington charged with attempted murder after Soho car incident

Gabrielle Carrington, a 29-year-old who previously competed on X Factor and hails from Manchester, is facing several charges, including attempted murder, following an incident in which a vehicle hit pedestrians in Soho, London, at 4:30 BST on Sunday. Among the injured are Klaudia Zakrzewska, 30, who is in critical condition; Anoush Chyche, a security guard in his 50s, who has sustained life-altering injuries; and Latisha Armstrong, who suffered a wrist injury. Carrington appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court, facing charges of grievous bodily harm with intent, actual bodily harm, and drink-driving, with a breathalyzer revealing 61 micrograms of alcohol per 100 milliliters. Her next court appearance is scheduled for May 19 at the Old Bailey, where family members of Zakrzewska were present.
