Forme/Informe: Non-Objective Italian Photography at GAM Turin

The GAM in Turin presents 'Forme/Informe', a focused exhibition on non-objective Italian photography from the post-war period, curated by Antonella Russo. The show traces the transition from objective to abstract and informal photography, featuring vintage works from artists like Giuseppe Cavalli, Luigi Veronesi, Franco Grignani, Piergiorgio Branzi, Pasquale De Antonis, Nino Migliori, and Paolo Monti. Cavalli's 'La pallina' (1949) highlights his role in the 'Bussola' group. Veronesi's graphic and cinematic experiments are evident, while Grignani's work was recently shown at m.a.x. museo in Chiasso. Branzi's images collect later photographic cues, and De Antonis offers rare color experiments. Migliori and Monti are noted as curious experimenters. The exhibition includes a bibliographic section with rare period publications and catalogs. All works come from artist archives or private collections.
