Forma Meravigli Reopens in Milan with Mario Giacomelli Solo Show
After months of inactivity, Forma Meravigli, a multidisciplinary space dedicated to photography and new media, reopens in Milan. Founded in 2015 as a project room of Fondazione FORMA per la Fotografia, the venue won a public tender for the space and resumes operations on Via Meravigli with an expanded cultural program. Curator Alessandra Mauro announced that the new season will include more exhibitions, educational courses, author meetings, screenings, editorial projects, and a new focus on collecting with expertise sessions, conferences, and debates. The reopening exhibition features a solo show of Mario Giacomelli (1925–2000), one of Italy's most important photographers. The show juxtaposes his iconic images of the Marche landscape with a selection of abstract works, highlighting similarities and differences. This follows the tradition of inaugurating with an Italian artist, as done previously with Gianni Berengo Gardin and the group show "Il racconto onesto."
