Forgotten Architecture: A Book Rescuing Lost Buildings from Oblivion

Bianca Felicori has curated 'Forgotten Architecture', a limited-edition publication from NERO and Prima O Mai, set to be available until June 2023 and shipped by July 30. This book highlights neglected architectural designs by lesser-known architects, alongside underappreciated masterpieces from renowned figures. It includes insights from various architecture writers and photographers such as Fabrizio Vatieri, Nicola Nunziata, and Felicori herself, complemented by critical essays from Franco Raggi and others. The initiative stemmed from a Facebook group established in 2019, which Felicori refers to as a 'mega-collective'. Featuring unique images discovered through thorough archival research, the book addresses the obscurity of these works, attributing it to the nature of architectural education. The cover showcases Tomaso Buzzi's 'Madre Natura' at La Scarzuola, which inspired Felicori during her thesis at Politecnico di Milano. Plans for a documentary directed by Lisa Bosi are also underway.
