Fontfabric Releases Postamp Grotesk, a Condensed Sans Serif from Stamp Letterforms
Fontfabric has released Postamp Grotesk, a condensed sans serif typeface derived from U.S. postage stamp letterforms. Designed by a five-person team led by Ivelina Martinova, the typeface draws inspiration from a James Buchanan postage stamp and late 19th-century American specimens. It features open apertures, smooth geometric curves, and low-contrast strokes, available in five weights from Thin to Bold. The specimen is presented in stamp-frame compositions with coral and lavender fills and perforations. A Mix variant includes Cyrillic alongside Latin, with annotated structural diagrams highlighting the grotesk G form, discretionary ligatures, and dynamic mixed letters. The five-weight range suits editorial, branding, and signage contexts. The full project is available on Behance.
