Fondazione Sozzani launches SEEDS, a six-month art and nature program in Milan

exhibition · 2026-04-26

Fondazione Sozzani has inaugurated SEEDS, a six-month program exploring the intersection of art and nature at its new Bovisasca space in Milan. The initiative features immersive weekends blending design, art, and nature within the foundation's garden of flowers, vegetables, and aromatic plants. The first edition showcased a photographic exhibition from the Carla Sozzani collection, including works by Karl Blossfeldt, Francesca Woodman, Helmut Newton, Man Ray, Alfred Stieglitz, and David LaChapelle. The autumn 2025 edition, running September 19–21, is dedicated to artist Kris Ruhs (born New York City, March 7, 1952), whose monumental installations explore nature's microcosm through carved, sculpted, and painted materials. Additional participants include Clinica Botanica, a studio specializing in green spaces and botanical tailoring workshops; Corraini Edizioni, an art and design publisher; and a reading room for contemporary magazines. The project aims to slow down time, foster observation, and cultivate change.
