Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo launches Verso project for youth

institutional · 2026-04-27

Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Turin, in collaboration with the Regione Piemonte's Youth Policies Department, has launched Verso, a year-long project targeting young people aged 15–29. The initiative aims to engage at least 100,000 participants through a mix of in-person and remote activities including exhibitions, workshops, meetings, and conferences. The project is structured into three seasons and features a collective exhibition titled Burning Speech, curated by Bernardo Follini and Irene Calderoni, opening June 24, 2021. A solo show by Martine Syms, Neural Swamp, follows in September. The public programme, curated by Lucrezia Calabrò Visconti, begins June 30 on Instagram with a dialogue between Marianna Filandri, Cathy La Torre, and Alessandro Sahebi. Educational activities start July 8 with guided tours and labs. Research workshops, led by tutor Simone Frangi, offer 50 selected participants a €2,000 grant. The project's display was designed by architecture studio Orizzontale. Verso's website and Instagram account were developed by the Turin-based agency Genio. The project addresses themes of youth autonomy, social participation, and new dependencies, positioning art as a tool for political and social engagement.
