Fondazione Ragghianti Unveils 2016-2017 Program with Exhibitions and Sculpture Reinstallation
Fondazione Centro Studi sull'Arte Licia e Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti in Lucca has announced its program for late 2016 and 2017, as presented to the press by new director Paolo Bolpagni and scientific committee president Alessandro Romanini. The foundation aims to strengthen ties with local cultural entities and engage broader audiences. On November 29, 2016, a study day titled 'Abbiamo bisogno di tutti. Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti e l'alluvione del 1966' will be held, coordinated by Emanuele Pellegrini. The foundation will reinstall sculptures from its collection in the cloisters of the Complesso monumentale di San Micheletto to improve public access. In 2017, three major exhibitions are planned: a documentary exhibition marking the 30th anniversary of Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti's death, serving as a precursor to a volume on the foundation's history; a late-spring contemporary art show exploring the concept of limits and borders; and an autumn exhibition on Mario Nigro, a Tuscan artist born in 1917, celebrating his centenary. Bolpagni emphasized the importance of the Nigro exhibition to support a Tuscan artist gaining international recognition.
