Fondazione Prada restages Harald Szeemann's 1969 exhibition in Venice with contemporary curatorial challenges
From June 1 to November 3, 2013, Fondazione Prada presented a reimagined version of Harald Szeemann's 1969 exhibition, 'Live in Your Head. When Attitudes Become Form,' at Ca' Corner della Regina in Venice. Curated by Germano Celant, Thomas Demand, and Rem Koolhaas, this exhibition emphasized the experience of an exhibition itself rather than focusing on specific artworks. The original took place at Bern Kunsthalle, while the 2013 iteration superimposed its layout onto a Venetian palazzo. Absent works were indicated by white outlines, giving a "zombie-like" effect. The ground floor featured archival videos and documents from 1969, showcasing artists such as Joseph Beuys and Bruce Nauman, and explored the significance of ecology-themed art and the roles of curators and artists.
