Fondazione Prada launches music program with international artists

festival-fair · 2026-05-04

Fondazione Prada in Milan has expanded its cultural offerings to include music, launching a three-part series titled 'I Want to Like You But I Find It Difficult' on April 19, 2018, coinciding with the opening of the Torre designed by Rem Koolhaas. The first performance featured Craig Richards and Ricardo Villalobos in the foundation's outdoor space. Curated by Richards, the series showcases a mix of genres like electronic, ethno-jazz, minimal, and afrobeat, with artists such as Tony Allen and Midori Takada set to perform on June 8 and September 28, 2018. Richards aims to provide music that is thought-provoking and sometimes uncomfortable, mirroring his enthusiasm as a collector. This effort is part of larger music events like MoMA PS1's Warm Up festival, celebrating 21 years in 2018.
