Fondazione Prada intensifies cinema program from February 2023
Beginning February 3, 2023, Fondazione Prada in Milan will enhance its cinema offerings with 12 weekly screenings. Opened in May 2018 and designed by Rem Koolhaas, the cinema seeks to reinforce the communal experience of film and its vital contribution to the city's cultural landscape. Curator Paolo Moretti highlights the cinema's role in fostering intellectual growth and innovation, particularly as the traditional cinema experience faces challenges. The program will feature thematic series, retrospectives, and collaborations with various film archives and festivals. Notable events in February include a year-long Jean-Luc Godard retrospective (series JLG), a complete collection of Pietro Marcello's works, and the Italian premiere of El Agua by Elena López Riera. The cinema operates from Friday to Sunday, with tickets priced at 6 euros.
