Fondazione Pesaro Opens New Art Space Falegnameria di Palazzo Mosca

The Fondazione Pescheria di Pesaro has inaugurated a new contemporary art venue, the Falegnameria di Palazzo Mosca, adding 800 square meters of exhibition space across two floors. The space, formerly a carpentry workshop for the Musei Civici, has been restored with PNRR funding as part of the expansion of Palazzo Toschi Mosca. The ground floor will host painting, photography, sculpture, and graphic arts, replacing the former Spazio Bianco in via Zongo. The first floor will feature rotating exhibitions of local artists. The inaugural show, 'Senza Rumore,' dedicated to Alberto Barbadoro (painter, sculptor, photographer, and graphic designer for the Biblioteca e Musei Oliveriani), opens August 13, marking the tenth anniversary of his death in August 2015. Curated by Elena Gramaccioni, the exhibition includes large paintings and sculptures. Upcoming exhibitions include Marco Morosini, 'Surprize,' Franco Fiorucci (September 30–November 19), and a centenary show for ceramicist Ferruccio Mengaroni (December 6–mid-2026). Spazio Bianco, founded in summer 2020, had focused on regional photography and hosted the Macula association's photographic archives, including the Roberto Recanatesi collection. The new space allows optimized programming.
