Fondazione Merz exhibition at Segesta Archaeological Park in Trapani

Until November 6, 2022, the Fondazione Merz presents 'Nella natura come nella mente' at the Segesta Archaeological Park, thirty minutes from Trapani. The exhibition explores science, art, and landscape through works by Mario Merz, Ignazio Mortellaro, and Costas Varotsos, marking the first contemporary art event at the site. Trapani, the ancient Greek settlement Drepanon, offers Baroque architecture, the Museo Pepoli with works by Titian, and the Museo DiART San Rocco featuring 130 artists. The city's street art circuit TRAP includes murals by Colectivo Licuado, Guido van Helten, Ever Siempre, and Said Dokins. The Salt Pans of Trapani, a WWF reserve since 1995, date to Norman times. The Whitaker Museum on Mozia island houses the 5th-century BC statue of the Youth of Mozia. Erice's medieval streets and the Florio winery in Marsala are nearby attractions.
