Fondazione Menna presents Spleen and News From Nowhere in Salerno
In Salerno, the Fondazione Filiberto e Bianca Menna has repurposed the Ex Casa del Combattente, which was constructed between 1921 and 1922, into a center for contemporary art. The initiative, set to commence in spring 2024, aims to revitalize the connection between art and living. The first segment, titled Spleen, is curated by Gianpaolo Cacciottolo and Massimo Maiorino and kicked off on May 4, 2024, showcasing Davide Sgambaro's installation Hey there you, looking for a brighter season (moth), followed by works from Marco Strappato and damp. The second segment, News From Nowhere, will start on February 13, 2025, featuring Fabrizio Bellomo's Abito Mari (2025) and wrapping up on May 31, 2025, with Giulio Delvè's Elèktron (2025). Additionally, films by Fabrizio Bellomo and Mario Martone will be screened.
