Fondazione Memmo presenta 'Verso Narragonia': follia e critica sociale

The Memmo Foundation in Rome is showcasing the seventh edition of Conversation Piece, titled 'Towards Narragonia,' inspired by the poem 'The Ship of Fools' by Sebastian Brant. This exhibition delves into human flaws and vices, challenging societal norms. Artists featured include Belgian duo Jos de Gruyter & Harald Thys, Apolonia Sokol, and Benedikt Hipp. The display features twenty-three caricature busts in an imperial style, creating a scientific lab-like ambiance, along with a large painting exceeding five meters that explores the theme of travel. Sokol’s works blend caricatures and parodies, presenting an ethereal environment marked by lilac hues.
