Fondazione Furla Ends Prize, Drops Curator Chiara Bertola
Fondazione Furla, the cultural foundation of the Italian fashion house, is undergoing a complete restructuring of its programming, effective June 2016. After ten editions, the Furla Prize has been discontinued, with Maria Iorio and Raphael Cuomo as its final winners. The foundation has also ended its collaboration with Chiara Bertola, who served as curator from 2000 to 2015, though she will remain on the scientific committee. President Giovanna Furlanetto expressed gratitude for Bertola's contributions but declined to specify the new initiatives, which will be announced in June. The foundation, established in Bologna in 2008, has been a significant force in contemporary Italian and international art.
