Fondazione Enel and American Academy in Rome Launch $250K Architecture Fellowship
A five-year agreement worth $250,000 has been established between the American Academy in Rome and Fondazione Enel to promote studies in architecture and urban landscapes. This collaboration will provide an annual fellowship to an Italian architect, urban designer, or landscape architect, with no limitations based on age or career stage. Events focused on sustainability and design innovation will also be organized. For the 2016-2017 period, the selected Italian fellows are Silvia Armando, Andrea Bajani, Milena Belloni, Tomaso De Luca, Annalisa Metta, and Giuseppe Sergi, chosen from a pool of 250 nominees. The fellowships are financed by the McKim Medal Gala, which will honor Giorgio Moroder and Patrizia Cavalli on June 9. Upcoming American fellows include E.V. Day, Nicole Miller, and Michael Queenland, among others.
