Fondazione delle Arti Venezia launches with Club delle Arti at Palazzetto Pisani

institutional · 2026-05-05

A new cultural foundation, Fondazione delle Arti Venezia, has been officially established in Venice, based at Palazzetto Pisani on the Grand Canal. Co-directed by Viola Romoli and Olivier Lexa, the foundation aims to become an international reference label for quality art events in the city. Romoli, founder and director of THE POOL NYC gallery, previously worked at the Guggenheim Museum in New York and will soon open a space in Milan. Lexa, a director and writer, has worked with Teatro La Fenice, Teatro alla Scala, Carnegie Hall, and La Monnaie, and has launched two other foundations in Venice: Palazzetto Bru Zane and the Venetian Centre for Baroque Music. The foundation also introduces the Club delle Arti, a membership-based club offering curated events for a diverse membership including philosophers, musicians, entrepreneurs, artists, and other professionals. The club aims to provide an authentic Venetian experience. The launch coincided with the finissage of the exhibition "Vitel Tonné" organized by THE POOL NYC, which served as a prototype for the foundation's approach to visual arts in unique spaces. Short-term plans include a summer and autumn season of events for club members, with a program to be published online soon. The foundation seeks to act as a lobbying force for Venice's cultural excellence through a network of cultural operators.
