Fondazione CRT Acquires 10 Works at Artissima for Castello di Rivoli and GAM

Amidst a challenging period for cultural institutions in Turin, the Fondazione per l'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT purchased ten artworks at Artissima for around €400,000. These pieces will be lent to the Castello di Rivoli – Museo d'Arte Contemporanea and the GAM – Galleria Civica d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Torino. The selection process involved Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, Manolo Borja-Villel, Rudi Fuchs, and Sir Nicholas Serota. Notable works for the Castello di Rivoli include Cecile B. Evans's "What the heart wants" (2016), Dora Garcia's "The Synthome Score" (2014-2016), and Michael Rakowitz's "The flesh is yours, the bones are ours" (2015). At GAM, new acquisitions feature sculptures by Francesca Ferreri, Lars Fredrikson, Hilario Isola, and Pat O'Neill's video "Let's make a sandwich" (1978).
