Fondazione Creberg releases Dante documentary for 700th anniversary
For the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death, Fondazione Creberg in Bergamo has produced a free online documentary about the characters of the Divine Comedy. The 45-minute video alternates selected tercets from the three canticles with explanatory texts, enriched by illustrations from artist Angelo Celsi, originally created for a 2015 traveling exhibition marking Dante's 750th birth anniversary. The project was conceived by Angelo Piazzoli and Enzo Noris, who also wrote the texts, in collaboration with the Società Dante Alighieri di Bergamo and organized by Sara Carboni of Fondazione Creberg. Original music was composed and performed by Alessandro Fabiani, an internationally renowned musician from Bergamo. Graphic elaboration was by Eleonora Valtolina.
