Fondazione CR Firenze allocates €8.8M for Tuscan art and culture
In October 2023, Fondazione CR Firenze announced an investment of €8.8 million to support 273 cultural initiatives across Florence, Arezzo, and Grosseto. This funding comprises €4 million from the foundation itself and an additional €4.8 million from local partners. The Live Performance initiative has allocated €3.5 million to 90 projects, aiding venues such as Teatro Puccini and Teatro Virginian. More than 40 festivals, including Musart Festival and Firenze Jazz Festival, receive backing as well. The Visual Arts initiative supports cinema festivals and endeavors in painting and photography, while the Enhancement call designates €3.4 million for 89 organizations, including Fondazione Giorgio La Pira. Restoration efforts are also planned for various historical sites. Gabriele Gori highlighted the significance of culture for both major institutions and smaller entities.
