Fondazione Bonollo Opens in Thiene with Two Inaugural Exhibitions

On June 7, 2024, the Fondazione Sandra e Giancarlo Bonollo per l'Arte Contemporanea will open in Thiene, Italy, featuring two exhibitions: 'Lessico Famigliare' and 'Isabella Ducrot. Vegetal Devotion.' Located in the renovated 18th-century building of the former Chiesa delle Dimesse, which had remained unused since 2015, the restoration was undertaken by architect Giancarlo Zerbato. 'Lessico Famigliare,' curated by Chiara Nuzzi, will be on display until December 21, 2024, showcasing works from the Bonollo collection by ten international artists, including Paweł Althamer and Ed Atkins. The title nods to Natalia Ginzburg's 1936 autobiographical work. Meanwhile, 'Isabella Ducrot. Vegetal Devotion,' curated by Marta Papini, will run until September 28, 2024, featuring Ducrot's pieces made from various materials. Collectors Sandra and Giancarlo Bonollo aim to share their 25 years of art collecting and foster a lively contemporary art scene in their hometown.
