Fondazione Bonollo Opens Body in Motion and Sanatorium in Thiene

Between May 23 and September 5, 2026, the Fondazione Sandra e Giancarlo Bonollo per l’Arte Contemporanea in Thiene, Vicenza, will host two exhibitions simultaneously: the group exhibition Body in Motion, curated by Chiara Nuzzi, and a solo exhibition by Polish artist Tomasz Kowalski, named Sanatorium, curated by Elisa Carollo. Body in Motion showcases pieces from the Bonollo collection by artists such as Monica Bonvicini, Talia Chetrit, and Sam Durant, examining the body as a site of cultural, political, and social constraints, as well as a space for resistance. Sanatorium features Kowalski's surreal interiors, reflecting the site’s past as a religious and psychiatric institution. Founded in 2024, the foundation is located in a renovated 18th-century palazzo and church, serving as a vibrant hub for contemporary art research and production.
