Fondazione Adolfo Pini Opens New Spaces with Šejla Kamerić Exhibition
Established in 1991, Fondazione Adolfo Pini, located in Milan, has redirected its emphasis toward contemporary art and partnerships with nearby institutions. Since November 2018, the foundation has revamped its visitor experience, now allowing access via the main staircase and introducing a new exhibition area. The ground floor showcases young artists who have received scholarships. The first exhibition, titled "SUMMERISNOTOVER," features Bosnian artist Šejla Kamerić and is curated by Erzen Shkololli, running until March 8, 2019. Kamerić's artwork explores themes of news perception and war imagery, shaped by her experiences during the Sarajevo siege. The foundation also supports emerging talents like Michele Gabriele and grants scholarships to artists under 35, highlighting their first significant exhibitions as part of the "Storie Milanesi" initiative.
