Fondation Valmont presents all-male group show on ego and beauty in Venice

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Fondation Valmont, led by Didier Guillon, has opened a new exhibition at Palazzo Bonvicini in Venice featuring artists Carles Valverde, Didier Guillon, and the duo Vangelis Kyris & Anatoli Georgiev. The show explores the intertwined concepts of ego and beauty, questioning the role of the artist in contemporary society. Valverde presents a composition of two modular elements; Guillon contributes an installation titled 'L'homme Pensant' comprising ten sculptures of screaming male busts; Kyris & Georgiev combine photography and embroidery. The exhibition runs until February 25, 2024. Palazzo Bonvicini, a Renaissance palace, serves as the Venetian outpost of Fondation Valmont, which is backed by the Swiss cosmetics company Valmont and aims to promote art in line with its values of quality, aesthetics, generosity, and sustainability. The artists drew inspiration from Venice as a symbol of fragile and eternal beauty.
