Fondation H in Antananarivo Presents Kabarin-Javakanto Exhibition Through Malagasy Oratory Lens

Fondation H in Antananarivo, Madagascar, is hosting 'Kabarin-javakanto: A Reading of the Fondation H Collection,' an exhibition curated by Abdellah Karroum. The show reimagines the foundation's international holdings through kabary, the Malagasy oratorical tradition where speech binds community, memory, and future intent. Across three galleries, works from Africa and its diasporas enter into dialogue with local epistemologies, emphasizing relational viewing. The exhibition moves from introduction to exchange to projection, resisting closure. Karroum's curatorial approach treats translation as a generative space.
