Fondation Beyeler presents evolving group show 'Dance with Daemons' with 30+ artists
The summer exhibition 'Dance with Daemons' has been inaugurated by the Fondation Beyeler in Riehen, Basel, and will be open from May 19 to August 11, 2024. In collaboration with the Luma Foundation, the event showcases the work of over 30 artists, including notable figures like Michael Armitage, Marlene Dumas, and Frida Escobedo. Curators Sam Keller, Mouna Mekouar, and Tino Sehgal have organized the show, which will periodically alter its title and arrangement, featuring 15 different titles such as 'Cloud Chronicles' and 'Echoes Unbound.' New pieces, including Carsten Höller's 'Dream Hotel Room 1' and a library designed by Escobedo and Campagna, will interact with the permanent collection, highlighting themes of artistic freedom and interdisciplinary dialogue.
