Fondation Beyeler Announces 2025 Exhibition Program

The Fondation Beyeler in Riehen, Switzerland, has announced its exhibition schedule for 2025, which includes showcases for Hilma af Klint, Edvard Munch, Vija Celmins, Yayoi Kusama, and surrealist works. The museum, created by Renzo Piano, is also in the process of building a new structure designed by Peter Zumthor. Kicking off the season is "Aurore boreali" (January 26–May 25, 2025), featuring approximately 80 landscapes from Nordic and Canadian artists between 1880 and 1930, including af Klint and Munch. Following this, "La chiave dei sogni. Capolavori surrealisti della collezione Hersaint" will run from February 16 to May 4, 2025, showcasing around 50 pieces by renowned surrealists. A significant retrospective of Vija Celmins is scheduled for June 15–September 21, 2025, while Yayoi Kusama's first Swiss retrospective will take place from October 12, 2025, to January 25, 2026, featuring over 70 years of her work.
