Foliage train returns between Italy and Switzerland from October 14

The seasonal foliage train connecting Domodossola (Italy) and Locarno (Switzerland) will operate from October 14 to November 11, 2023. The 52-kilometer route runs through the Centovalli and Valle Vigezzo forests, known as the Valley of Painters for their evocative landscapes. The Ferrovia Vigezzina-Centovalli, which organizes the service, will celebrate its 100th anniversary starting November 25, 2023, with events through November 2024, including a special stamp depicting the train on the Iron Bridge of Intragna.
