FMR Magazine to Relaunch in December 2021 Under Laura Casalis

publication · 2026-04-27

The renowned art publication FMR, established by Franco Maria Ricci in 1982, is set to make its comeback in December 2021. After selling the brand in 2008 to finance the Labirinto della Masone project in Fontanellato, Ricci and his spouse, Laura Casalis, reclaimed the trademark in January 2021. The revamped FMR will be released quarterly in both Italian and English, with printing handled by Grafiche Milani in Milan. A preview edition is available for pre-order at francomariaricci.com. Laura Casalis serves as the editorial and artistic director, while Edoardo Pepino takes on the role of director. The advisory committee features Giorgio Antei, Massimo Listri, Giovanni Mariotti, Gabriele Reina, and Stefano Salis. Contributors include notable figures such as Héctor Abad Faciolince and Orhan Pamuk. The inaugural issue includes a column by Faciolince, an article by Sgarbi on Franciscan churches, and a piece on Corberó by Pablo Bofill and Nicolas Véron. Following Ricci's passing in 2020, a retrospective exhibition titled 'I segni dell'uomo' is currently displayed at Palazzo Pigorini in Parma.
