FMAV Students Curate Pirandello-Inspired Exhibition in Modena
There's a new exhibition called 'Come tu mi vuoi' (As You Want Me) happening in Modena, which is open until August 20, 2023. This show is entirely put together by students from the advanced training program at Fondazione Modena Arti Visive (FMAV) and takes its inspiration from a 1929 play by Luigi Pirandello. It explores the relationship between creators and their subjects in visual art. A group of nine up-and-coming curators, including Federica Benedetti and Sara Carbone, selected pieces in photography, video, and drawing from FMAV's collection, showcasing both local and international talents. The exhibition invites viewers to rethink how images tell stories, revealing the processes behind them. FMAV's school, founded in 2011, plays a key role in cultural education across Italy and Europe.
