Flowers-Flora Exhibition Opens Simultaneously at Saatchi Gallery and Chiostro del Bramante

A major exhibition titled 'Flowers-Flora in Contemporary Art & Culture' has opened concurrently at the Saatchi Gallery in London and the Chiostro del Bramante in Rome, anticipating the annual Chelsea Flower Show. The multidisciplinary show explores the wonder of the floral world in art and celebrates the goddess Flora, emphasizing the essential relationship between humans and nature. It spans painting, sculpture, photography, video, fashion, and design, featuring works by artists such as Monet, Warhol, Murakami, Hirst, and Koons. Highlights include an immersive installation by Rebecca Louise Law titled 'La Fleur mort,' consisting of dried flower crowns suspended from the ceiling, and a silent video by Tom De Houwer showing slow-motion blooming flowers and hands emerging from autumn leaves. The exhibition also includes fashion pieces by Vivienne Westwood, ceramics by Buccellati, and wallpapers by Sanderson and Morris. The show runs until May 5, 2025, at the Saatchi Gallery.
