Florence's Outdoor Project Brings Museum Art into Schools
Sergio Risaliti, director of the Museo Novecento in Florence, has launched the Outdoor project, aimed at transforming conventional school excursions. Managed by Associazione MUS.E, this initiative brings art from the museum into schools, hospitals, and homes to promote awareness of 20th-century art. The first collaboration occurred on November 14, 2018, at the Istituto Comprensivo Oltrarno, where students explored Filippo De Pisis's artwork. Subsequent activities included a visit to Collodi school, where pupils engaged with Severo Pozzati's piece. Vice Mayor Cristina Giachi emphasized the program’s role in enhancing understanding of art's significance and fostering creativity among children.
