Florence Derieux Leaves Centre Pompidou for Director Role at Hauser & Wirth New York

Florence Derieux has been appointed as the director of exhibitions at Hauser & Wirth's galleries in New York. Prior to this role, she held the position of curator-at-large and curator of American art at the Centre Pompidou Foundation, where she began her tenure in November 2015 after serving as the director of FRAC Champagne-Ardenne in Reims since 2008. An accomplished art historian, Derieux has curated exhibitions featuring notable artists such as Tom Burr, Agnes Denes, Cyprien Gaillard, and Sterling Ruby. In addition to her museum experience, she has worked with Art Basel, managing the Parcours program from 2013 to 2015 and the curated section at EXPO Chicago this year.
