Florence Art Week launches with city-wide exhibitions and events
The first edition of Florence Art Week, coordinated by MUS.E and strongly supported by the City of Florence, runs until September 24, 2022. The Museo Novecento serves as the hub, extending its program to venues such as Palazzo Medici Riccardi and the Arno riverbanks. Highlights include: Henry Moore sculptures at Piazza della Signoria and San Miniato al Monte (until March 31, 2023); the photo exhibition 'Back To Moore: Forte Belvedere 1972' at Palazzo Vecchio (September 22–October 3); Tony Cragg's 'Transfer' at Museo Novecento and Istituto degli Innocenti (September 23, 2022–January 15, 2023); Emiliano Maggi's performance 'Water Spell' on the Arno (September 23 at 18:45); the Rinascimento+ awards ceremony at Palazzo Vecchio (September 23); 'Passione Novecento' from Paul Klee to Damien Hirst at Palazzo Medici Riccardi (September 24, 2022–January 8, 2023); Olafur Eliasson's 'Nel tuo tempo' at Palazzo Strozzi (September 22, 2022–January 22, 2023); Erwin Wurm's 'Trans Formam' at Galleria Poggiali and 'Salsiccia Fat Bus' in Piazza Santa Maria Novella (from September 21, 2022); and the Genius Loci festival at Opera di Santa Croce (September 20–24).
