Flora, Figuration, and Frames at the 2026 Dallas Art Fair

At the 2026 Dallas Art Fair (DAF), floral motifs dominated both the art pieces and the fashion worn by guests, a trend that has been growing since COVID began. According to Jessica Fuentes and Brandon Zech from Glasstire, while the fair had a sense of familiarity, it also featured some standout moments. Erin Cluley Gallery showcased a stunning painting called 'A Thousand Hills' by Jessica Vollrath, depicting golden reclining figures. Valley House Gallery & Sculpture Garden presented two detailed portraits by Amy Werntz, the 2025 Bennett Prize winner, and a woodcut by Albrecht Dürer from around 1504. Artspace111 displayed Han Cao's embroidered photographs, while booth colors varied, with Jody Klotz Fine Art in deep blue and Mindy Solomon in pink. Hollis Taggart exhibited small flower paintings by Andy Warhol, Sturtevant, and Richard Pettibone, focusing on themes of repetition. Anya Molyviatis showcased her unique woven thread works at Ivester Contemporary, and Beatriz Esguerra Art from Bogotá introduced eight Colombian artists in 'What Remains, What Disappears.' The Dallas Invitational at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek also marked a record event, with dealers creatively using hotel rooms.
