Floating Kiosk by bufen atelier in Beijing

bufen atelier has completed the Floating Kiosk, a 16 m² temporary retail structure in Beijing, completed in 2026. Designed as an enigmatic, almost extraterrestrial presence, the kiosk appears as an object that descended abruptly into the urban fabric, lacking strong spatial references. The project was curated by 韩爽 - HAN Shuang, with lead architect Wei Ting, and built for client lichadecha by contractor Beijing Zhongying Hong’an Building Decoration Engineering Co., Ltd.
