Flávio Pacheco: Collector, Ufologist, and Guardian of 10,000 Toys
Flávio Pacheco, a gaúcho raised on a farm, moved to São Paulo in the late 1970s and began amassing a vast toy collection. He sold a significant portion of his first collection to a Belgian museum, using the proceeds to purchase land in São Tomé das Letras, Minas Gerais, where he established a farm hotel as a spiritual retreat. Pacheco divides his time between searching for rarities, enjoying nature at his farm, and maintaining his nearly 10,000 toys in São Paulo. These toys, which he repairs and restores over long nights, decorate his home and form part of an Itinerant Toy Museum he founded over two decades ago. Duplicate pieces are sold at the antique fair held on Sundays in the free span of MASP.
