Flavio Favelli Designs Artribune Stand for Arte Fiera 2020
At Arte Fiera in Bologna, Artribune presents a stand designed by Flavio Favelli (born 1967 in Florence), whom the publication considers the best established Italian artist of 2019 alongside Andrea Mastrovito. Curated by Arianna Rosica, the stand features an image titled "Arte Fiera 76" that incorporates the old Arte Fiera logo—a three-quarter orange sun with bold graphics that once appeared on banners across Bologna's streets. Favelli draws inspiration from vintage advertisements and the posters of the Royal Rouge cinema on Via Rizzoli, which covered actresses' breasts and sex scenes, now replaced by a Nike store. Visitors to Pavilion 18 can discover the stand, receive a copy of the new Artribune issue, and purchase a subscription at a discounted fair price: €30 (instead of €39) for European residents, €50 (instead of €59) for non-European residents. Artribune also offers a WhatsApp channel and a daily newsletter called Lettera. Founded in 2011, Artribune is a content and services platform dedicated to contemporary art and culture.
