Five Venetian Renaissance altarpieces unite in Cuneo exhibition
'I colori della fede a Venezia: Tintoretto, Tiziano, Veronese' is currently on display at the San Francesco complex in Cuneo, featuring five altarpieces created by Titian, Tintoretto, and Veronese between 1560 and 1565. Curated by Don Gianmatteo Caputo and Giovanni Carlo Federico Villa, this exhibition is supported by the Patriarchate of Venice and promoted by Fondazione CRC and Intesa Sanpaolo. The artworks are positioned at a height of 1.3 meters to align with their liturgical significance. Notable pieces include Tintoretto's 'Last Supper' (1561-66) and Veronese's 'Baptism of Christ' (1560-61), which underwent restoration in 1992. Enhanced by dynamic LED lighting, the exhibition culminates with Veronese's 'Wedding at Cana', a highlight of the Venetian painting's 'golden century'.
