Five UK Museums Compete for Art Fund Museum of the Year 2015

Five institutions have been selected as finalists for the 2015 Art Fund Museum of the Year award. The shortlist includes Dunham Massey in Altrincham, IWM London, The MAC in Belfast, Oxford University Museum of Natural History, and The Whitworth in Manchester. A judging panel chaired by Stephen Deuchar will evaluate the candidates, with other members being artist Michael Landy, design critic Alice Rawsthorn, The Economist's books and arts editor Fiammetta Rocco, and Axel Rüger, director of Amsterdam's Van Gogh Museum. The winner will be revealed at Tate Modern on July 1, 2015, and will receive a £100,000 prize. This annual UK-based prize recognizes outstanding achievement by museums.
