Five Summer Photography Exhibitions Explore Monochrome's Enduring Power
This summer, five significant photography exhibitions underscore the importance of black-and-white visuals. From 6 June 2024 to 26 January 2025, Zanele Muholi will showcase their inaugural solo exhibition in the UK at Tate Modern, featuring more than 300 photographs, including pieces from 'Somnyama Ngonyama.' BALTIC will present Franki Raffles' first major retrospective from 11 May to 17 November 2024, displaying 300 prints created between 1984 and 1994. Awoiska van der Molen's latest works will be on view at Huis Marseille from 22 June to 13 October 2024. Autograph will host C. Rose Smith's 'Talking Back to Power' from 13 June to 12 October 2024. Additionally, Flor Garduño's 'Life Paths' retrospective at Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes runs until 2 June 2024, featuring over 100 monochrome images and jewelry.
