Five New Photography Books Released by Skira and Johan & Levi

Skira and Johan & Levi have released or reprinted five photography books spanning over a century of images. Skira published two monographs: "Joel Meyerowitz. A Sense of Wonder" (curated by Denis Curti, with Fondazione Brescia Musei) covers 60 years of street photography from 1962 to 2022, including Meyerowitz's study of Giorgio Morandi and portraits like Sarah on the Atlantic shore in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The second Skira volume, "Marina Abramović. Transforming Energy" (curated by Shai Baitel, with the Modern Art Museum of Shanghai), features private photographs and documentation of her performances with Ulay and her audience, including many unpublished images. Johan & Levi reprinted three books: "Georgia O’Keeffe / John Leongard. Dipinti e fotografie" shows O'Keeffe photographed with her dogs by John Leongard at Ghost Ranch in 1966, twenty years before her death; "Robert Rauschenberg. Fotografie 1949-1962" presents black-and-white images of post-war society, including Rome where Rauschenberg and Cy Twombly spent time; and "Henry Lartigue. L’album di una vita. 1894 – 1986" reproduces the life albums of Jacques Henri Lartigue, who began photographing at age eight in Belle Époque Paris.
