Five Must-See Summer Exhibitions Across Europe

Château La Coste in Provence is hosting three concurrent exhibitions: Alberto Giacometti's drawings and studies (until September 12, 2021), Roni Horn's 'A rat surrendered here' (until October 24, 2021), and Richard Long's site-specific installations using local Provencal stones (until October 2021). The venue also features the new Richard Rogers Drawing Gallery. In Switzerland, Fondation Pierre Gianadda in Martigny presents 'Gustave Caillebotte – impressionniste et moderne' (until November 21, 2021), delayed by a year due to the pandemic. Also in Switzerland, Fondation Beyeler in Riehen/Basel showcases its permanent collection in 'Nature Culture' (until September 21, 2021), featuring over 170 works by artists including Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, and Louise Bourgeois, displayed across twelve galleries and the surrounding park. In Spain, Museo Guggenheim Bilbao presents 'La linea dell'ingegno' (until February 6, 2022), a selection of ingenious and experimental works from its collection. In Berlin, Museum Berggruen reunites paintings from Pablo Picasso's 'Les Femmes d'Alger' series (until August 29, 2021), the first such exhibition in Germany in 65 years.
