Five Italian crowdfunding projects for art and culture during COVID-19

In Italy, five cultural crowdfunding initiatives have emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic. Musician and documentarian Fabiano Lioi, who has Osteogenesis Imperfecta, is aiming to raise €30,000 by December 21, 2020, on Produzioni dal Basso to publish his book "O.I. L’arte in una frattura" and host an exhibition featuring 21 X-ray artworks. The Another World project in Rome's Vigne Nuove district seeks €65,000 to revitalize an ASL health facility for disabled children with murals by artist Gola Hundun. Additionally, the Musei Reali di Torino, alongside young fundraisers from Fondazione CRT's Talenti per il Fundraising 2020 course, is conducting a donation marathon on Rete del Dono until November 28, 2020, to restore a painting damaged in a 1997 fire. Spring Studios will unveil Shotathome, a virtual gallery on December 9, 2020, showcasing works by renowned photographers, with proceeds benefiting the BFC Foundation Fashion Fund for the Covid Crisis. Lastly, the Accademia Ducale centro studi musicali di Pietragalla in Basilicata has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to raise €10,000 for a Festival of figurative and performing arts.
